Originally named “The Yachna Project,” Sidewalks was born out of a burning desire in 2020 to add more fun, creativity, and adventure to my career. 

I had been working an office job for what felt like a million dreadful years. It felt as though I was reliving the same day, every day. I wasn’t happy where I was in life, and I knew there was so much more in store for me. I craved adventure, fun, pleasure, and yumminess in my life. After several failed business ventures, I decided to launch my blog so that I could have a reason to wake up in the morning. 

 When I started blogging, I wrote short posts about my personal experiences of life. Now, I would describe Sidewalks as an online magazine for every girl with long-form essays, short stories, fashion, culture, travel, and advice-oriented articles on relationships, sex, and entertainment. 

Sidewalks have now become a global community that receives thousands of visitors each month worldwide. We are very grateful for this small and ever-growing community.
